Dealing with harassment and sexism

Ann Friedman gives advice to journalists who have dealt with harassment from sources in her latest #RealTalk column for Columbia Journalism Review.

On Poynter, Mallary Jean Tenore talks to the woman who created the new Tumblr “Said to Lady Journos” which documents sexist remarks said to female journalists. The creator, who wishes to remain anonymous, said, “I was surprised that so many people had quotes and anecdotes to share. I wanted to create some place where people could feel comfortable talking about some of these issues and what happened to them.”
