Thank the Academy, a project by 2012-13 AP-Google Scholar Rebecca Rolfe, is an interactive data visualization that explores Oscar winners’ thank-you speeches, including who was thanked and how winners behaved. It also archives winners’ speeches, going back to the first televised ceremony in 1953, features an interactive to help you create your own, and then shows you which celeb’s speech most closely resembles yours.
