Check out and contribute to the crowdsourced project #HurricaneHackers. These realtime shared notes are “gathering information and organizing tech+social projects related to Hurricane Sandy” led by MIT’s Assistant Professor of Civic Media, Sasha Costanza-Chock.

Whether you’re reporting on the storm or just following along, this resource is aggregating storm maps, data, social, APIs, news, public service announcements and more. Projects in progress include SandyTimeline, a crowdsourced, rich-media timeline of key Hurricane Sandy events and SandyStreamsMap, a map of all available storm livestreams.

We encourage you to get involved or help by sharing this resource. Most importantly, for those of you in storm areas, stay safe!
