Professor Rodger Streitmatter, who teaches at American University, builds a focus on media diversity into his classes.

 "I place a high value on diversity, in my teaching as well as my research. It’s absolutely essential, in my opinion, for faculty members to help prepare their students for working and living in a world that’s increasingly diverse.“

He uses several clips from South Park to drive the point home, including an episode focused on race issues that demonstrates the difference between how adults and children view race.
